Client: Soon Kee Coffee & Tea

With the closure of Bukit Timah Hawker Centre, Soon Kee Coffee & Tea, a family-run stall with over 90 years of history, served its last cup in September 2024. After two generations of brewing traditional Nanyang coffee, the family wanted to document this chapter before it fades into memory. Our goal is to capture the heart and soul of this beloved stall, from the first-generation coffee master who started it all, to the regular customers who have returned year after year, some for decades. It’s more than just photographing a coffee stall, it’s preserving a piece of family history, hawker culture, and the quiet stories that have shaped this space for nearly a century.
